It's possible, just a lot of work. We're already doing optical tracking of psmove's with PSMoveService (http://github.com/cboulay/PSMoveService). The real issue is finding a cheap HD webcam that can do 60fps. Most 60fps stereo hd webcams cost > $100. It is possible to get the ps4 camera running on the PC (it's really just a usb3 webcam), but you need to make a special adapter for it (or cut open the cable and resolder to a usb3 connector). Currently the ps4 camera driver only works on Linux and os x. Assuming you can get a camera that works, the next problem is getting the USB protocol for the HMD decoded. Not impossible, just some work with a usb packet analyzer. Finally the tracking is an interesting challenge. I assuming they are using the stereo camera to triangulate the visible leds. Not sure how they then determine which headset Led they correspond to (some kind of error minimization on a transform that aligns an led mesh to the triagulated points?)] > >[https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/57adyk/someone_in_japan_tried_connecting_the_psvr_to_pc/d8qljgq] >[i:There was a reason, though, at least for the Move controller tracking. As seen in the video I linked, PSMoveService is an OpenVR driver created to be able to use Move controllers along with a Rift headset. Given the rarity of the Razer Hydra and the poor analogue of Leap Motion, Move is the best option outside of the Vive's included controllers for motion control on SteamVR (and PC VR in general). That will change when Oculus Touch comes out, but until then, it has had many months of being the only reasonably available and capable option for Rift/DK2/OSVR users for literal years.] > > >GitHub dafür: >[https://github.com/cboulay/PSMoveService]
