It was 30 years ago.
I was the favorite that year.
I wore a perfect bratwurst suit
with all the fixings,
handmade by myself.
My walk was perfection.
My talent, unmatched.
But then, we were down
to the second to last event:
the blind sausage taste test.
Another contestant,
jealous of my saug de vivre,
put fast-acting laxatives
in my tasting sausage.
Oh, no.
