Ich hatte schon die Schnauze von der Folge voll, als die drei Freaks
in ihrem Rockabilly-Auto mit Maske und Waffen auf den wahrscheinlichen
Weg zu Mulder und Scully gewesen sind. Die anschließende Schießerei
mit Rockmusik und Epeleptiker-Schnitt waren da noch das negative
Sahnehäubchen. Ich könnte brechen. Eigentlich hätte ich da schon
abschalten sollten. Aber dann kamen ja noch die Russen. Mulder und
Scully entkommen, flüchten in den Wald, auf einmal kommt Skinner
angefahren. Feierabend. Tschüss Akte X. Fick dich Carter.
"I'm kind of amazed at the glowing reviews for this word salad
of a show. Carter’s not even trying anymore. All we’re getting
CBS-grade car chases and ridiculous chop-sockey action to support
an utterly random plot line."

for Mulder and Scully in their house, Scully does one of those
action movie tropes of sliding under a table super fast and
simultaneously kicking it over to shield herself from gunfire.
All I could think is, 'Really?!?' Ignoring that both of them are
now in their late 50s in the show, consider this: Scully had
cancer more than once. Mulder almost died from toxic alien blood,
then later from having an alien virus put in him. The agents were
in the hospital more times than you could count during the original
run. Suddenly, they’re cartoonish super-hero types who possess
superior fighting skills and can do all those silly action movie
tropes to a tee? It’s just another part of what’s wrong with this
revival (after last week’s Fast and Furious chase scenes, brought
to you by Ford Motor Company!)."
Ich habe die Folge natürlich zu Ende geguckt (und werde den Rest
auch gucken) und es wurde noch schlimmer. Die ganze Simulations-
sache, der Mord im College, das Scully-Zwinkern,
Ich möchte nur noch schreien.
