Zach Galifianakis hat mir als Pummelchen auch besser gefallen, aber er hat's noch
drauf. Louie Anderson als Baskets Mutter ist aber so dermaßen hilarious, dass man
das eigentlich auch nur wegen dem gucken kann und Martha Kelly ist irgendwie auch
ganz bezaubernd in ihrer Rolle. Aber das Tragische in der Tragikomödie überwiegt
hier, womit man Leben könnte, wenn es nicht gleich ganz so stark zu Beginn der
Serie einschlagen würde, ohne Gelegenheit ein bisschen
für die Protagonistenzu entwickeln.
"Maybe it's just me but this just seemed to be a mess to me. I can't imagine anyone
enjoying this. The gags are not funny and all been done before. I see what they
are trying to do but it just misses the mark of being funny and ends up just being
sad and painful to watch. One of those things where the guy just never catches a
break and he's such a douche you don't want him to or really even care one way or
the other. It just did not generate any interest in me to see what would happen
next or where the story was going. I barely made it thru it".
