In Steven Universe, the world is protected from evil threats by the Crystal Gems,
a group of intergalactic female warriors who use the power of special gem stones
embedded on their bodies to summon magical weapons. Joining the cool-headed Garnet,
the laid back Amethyst, and the gentle Pearl, is the unlikely fourth member of the
team; the eponymous Steven, a young boy who inherited a gem stone from his mother,
a Crystal Gem named Rose Quartz. As Steven tries to figure out the secrets to using
his gem, he spends his days in Beach City doing activities with the other Crystal
Gems, whether it's helping them save the universe or just hanging out.
Mir gefällt die Figur des Steven richtig gut, auch wenn ich nicht gut finde, dass ein
Jahrgang 1997 die Figur spricht, während alle anderen von Erwachsenen gesprochen werden.
Aber ist jetzt auch nicht die 08/15 Kinder-Stimme. Geht schon. Stil ist recht
minimalistisch angelegt und das Figurendesign recht verquer - ohne eiheitliche Linie.
Geschichte im Piloten ist ebenfalls sehr einfach gehalten und die Folgen mit 11 Minuten
so richtig kurz. Würd's gerne so richtig, richtig toll finden, aber der Funke springt
nicht über. Da wäre sehr viel mehr drin gewesen. Titellied ist aber Gottgleich.
